I am an artist working with digital film, sound and installation. My work occupies a space between documentary and art; the political and the poetic. It touches upon notions of displacement, identity and home.

My practice is concerned with the passage of people, time and the imagination. It explores the idea of the journey and the experience of crossing from one world into another. I am interested in what survives, what endures and what we take with us across these borders: the nature and contingency of identity.

Recently I have been inspired by the aboriginal idea of singing the world into existence and the role of the imagination in constructing, mapping and literally ‘enchanting’ the world. I am increasingly drawn to explore the nature of  song. I believe song has the potential to express something fundamental about who we are and where we come from.
